How they met

Brooke and Caitlyn’s love story began online and quickly turned into something extraordinary. Their first date at Lock 15 Brewing Co. was comfortable, sweet, and filled with the kind of effortless conversation that feels like coming home.

When the world shut down during COVID lockdowns, their new relationship was put to the test. Gone were the dinners out and group gatherings — replaced instead by quiet moments, creativity, and connection. Those months drew them closer together, transforming a budding romance into an unshakable bond. After one especially romantic evening, Caitlyn asked Brooke to be her girlfriend — and from that night on, their love story only grew stronger.

THE PROPOSAL

If anyone loves a good adventure, it’s Brooke and Caitlyn. Brooke wanted a proposal that was meaningful, memorable, and perfectly “them.” Playing on Caitlyn’s love of pirates, Brooke designed an elaborate treasure-map proposal that led Caitlyn through a scavenger hunt of special locations from their relationship.

Incredibly, the plan had been in motion since their very first year of dating — when Brooke secretly hid the key to unlock the map inside a gift for their one-year anniversary! The treasure hunt ended with a fake proposal that turned into the ultimate surprise: plane tickets to Europe.

The real proposal came soon after, on a secluded cliffside in Ibiza, Spain, overlooking the Mediterranean. With waves crashing below and a sunset sky above, Brooke got down on one knee — and Caitlyn said yes to forever.

GETTING READY

Brooke found her perfect gown at One White Lane Bridal Gallery in Pittsburgh. The bridal team made her experience personal, stress-free, and unforgettable. Her elegant gown paired beautifully with the wedding’s green color palette and timeless setting.

Caitlyn also wore a gorgeous dress that perfectly matched the day’s romantic tone. The pair got ready surrounded by family, friends, and the talented stylists from Rig & Co. Studio, who made everyone feel radiant and camera-ready.

The bridal party

Surrounded by their closest friends and family, Brooke and Caitlyn’s bridal party perfectly captured the joy and unity of the day. From laughter during photos to heartfelt moments before the ceremony, the love and support were tangible.

Their bridesmaids wore flowing gowns in various shades of green, sourced from Azazie, complementing the natural, enchanted theme of the venue.

The CEREMONY

Held outdoors beneath the canopy of trees at Bella Amore on Enchanted Acres, Brooke and Caitlyn’s ceremony felt straight out of a storybook. The wooded ceremony space created an intimate, romantic atmosphere — a true reflection of their relationship.

With soft greenery, delicate florals from Nikki’s Perfect Petals, and the serene sounds of nature, the setting was both whimsical and deeply meaningful.

The RECEPTION

After the ceremony, guests gathered inside Bella Amore’s grand reception hall — a castle-inspired space glowing with soft lighting and elegant décor from MJE Events. From the moment the newlyweds entered, the celebration was pure magic.

Dinner, catered by Enchanted Acres Catering, delighted guests with delicious flavor and presentation. The couple’s stunning custom cake from Sugarfuse looked almost too beautiful to eat — a vision Caitlyn had dreamed up and the bakery brought to life flawlessly.

DJ services by MJE Events kept the night flowing smoothly and the dance floor packed — with the highlight being a lively group dance to “The Wobble,” led by their DJ himself

ADVICE FROM THE COUPLE

We enjoyed a longer engagement of two years, which made the wedding planning process a bit smoother. We recommend finding your venue and locking down a date as soon as you can, and choosing a dress early in case of delays. Keeping a spreadsheet with our budget and a master checklist helped us stay organized and stress-free!
