The bride’s beautifully beaded wedding dress has a vintage feel, and the white draping linens at the ceremony, outside the barn, and inside the barn added a touch of romance and elegance to a rustic barn. Wedding planning is fun, but it can also get overwhelming quickly. I highly recommend having at minimum a day of coordinator. I come from an event planning background, and I was so thankful for it, since it allowed me to enjoy the day and not have to worry/stress.

Make the day what you and your spouse want of it! Just because something is trending or traditional doesn’t mean you have to do it. My favorite thing to hear after our wedding was our families and friends raving about how the wedding was so uniquely us. You could see each of us as well as who we are as a couple throughout the day.

There are plenty of ways to save on a wedding, and there are a lot of very helpful of articles out there to give ideas, but take it with a grain of salt. Think about what’s important to you and if you choose DIY for things, it can add up quickly with all the supplies.

Make eating a priority on your big day! Make sure to have snacks or a meal when getting ready, and ask if you can get part of your food early before you make your entrance before the reception if your schedule allows for it.
