How they met
Jimmy and Alyssa first crossed paths on Tinder during the spring of 2020. The world was in lockdown, but that didn’t stop them from going on a hiking date—safely monitored by her friends via GPS tracking, of course. Their spark was undeniable, but fate had other plans. Right after their first weekend together, she was accepted into a local dating show styled after Love is Blind. Though she told Jimmy goodbye, he wasn’t interested in just being friends. A few months passed, and in the summer, Jimmy reached back out. Their second first date was the real beginning of their love story—and funnily enough, the people she met on that quirky dating show are now some of their closest friends.
TheIR Engagement Story
Jimmy proposed in their living room on Tuesday before Thanksgiving in 2022. She had plans to go out with friends that night but wasn’t feeling well. Jimmy, eager for her to leave the house, convinced her to rally. When she came home, she was met with flickering candles, the scent of warmth in the air, and Jimmy standing among flowers. With her voice nearly gone, she squeaked out a high-pitched “Yes!”, creating an unforgettable sound marking the start of their forever.

The wedding theme, Wildflower Fields, came to life beautifully through a mix of creams, blues, and vibrant florals. Bridesmaids wore various shades of blue, each choosing her own gown from a soft, flowing palette that felt natural and elegant. The groomsmen complemented them perfectly in blue suits from The Modern Groom. The bride found her gown at Reading Bridal Outlet and loved it so much she brought it home the same day. Bonus? It’s machine washable—she’s already worn it again for their anniversary night in.

Rustic Barn Wedding
The ceremony and reception took place at 1885 Farms in Navarre, Ohio. The Barn was built in 1885 and offers 360-degree scenic views of the sprawling flower fields and the surrounding 50-acre property. Alyssa walked down the aisle to live harp music, played by her aunt and uncle, in their ceremony spot surrounded by nature.
The Reception & Party
Later in the evening, guests gathered in the barn for a lively and love-filled reception. The space was thoughtfully decorated with hand-picked wildflowers arranged by the bride and her loved ones. Bud vases filled with blooms gave each table a fresh and delicate feel, while the warm wood of the barn added depth and comfort to the celebration. The venue took care of all the setup and teardown, allowing the couple and their families to simply enjoy the magic of the evening. With great food, joyful dancing, and thoughtful details throughout, it was the kind of reception guests will talk about for years.
