From the bride: “Our wedding took place outdoors on the Summer Solstice (the longest day of the year) with the birds chirping while we said our vows. We were married under a big oak tree on the lawn at the Hunt Club. Dinner was served family style at long wooden farm tables wrapping around the porch, and the East Coast Custard Ice Cream truck showed up for late night ice cream!”
“I started to lose my voice before the rehearsal dinner and by the morning of our wedding I could barely speak above a hoarse whisper! I managed to say raspy vows during the ceremony and the rest of the night I just smiled and ‘talked’ to guests through the notepad I carried around with me. I was naturally upset at first, but if anything it forced me to relax and just observe and take in the whole evening – which was fun and flawless. I still managed to fully enjoy myself, despite having no voice!”
