Winter Flowers for your Bouquet
Winter is referred to as a wonderland for good reasons! Look past the gray skies and bitter cold to see the glistening icicles, pristine snow, and scenic pine. These winter flowers will make your holiday wedding festive, aromatic, and beautiful!
Blue

Not only will a blue bouquet satisfy your “something blue,” but it will resemble the icy-ness of snow. Add periwinkle, iris, hydrangea, and delphinium to give your bouquet a blue hue. You can even add some dusty miller or succulents and wrap it in a blue ribbon.
White

One of the most beautiful parts about winter is the untarnished snow. No footprints, no slush, just a smooth blanket of white. Replicate that beauty with a white bouquet! Whit peonies, roses, ranunculus, magnolia, hydrangea, and gardenia are great options. Pepper in height with lisianthus, orchids, snapdragon, and stephanotis. Anemones will add some dimension and color with their black centers!

Red

For a true holiday wedding, a touch of red is classic. Red roses against the white snow or a white wedding dress scream Christmas. Other flower options would be zinnias, poppies, tulips, daisies, and dahlias. Most of these flowers aren’t as popular in the winter months, which makes it harder for florists to get a hold of. If that’s the case, they may charge you a bit more. One easy way to add some red to your winter bouquet is with hypericum berries or holly.
Gray

While winter may be gray and bleak the majority of the time, that doesn’t mean it should on your wedding day! Make gray beautiful with a frosty bouquet. Include succulents, dusty miller, and brunia to achieve this book. You can also paint acorns and pine cones with silver glitter!
Green

A green bouquet is festive and vibrant against a monotone background. Pine, boxwood, cypress, olive, magnolia leaves, holly and mistletoe are perfect additions. Add some pine cones for texture and white or red carnations for color. Your bouquet is sure to smell fresh and Christmas-y!
