HOW THEY MET
Lindsey and Shawn met in the Pocono Mountains in Pennsylvania while they were working at a children’s summer camp in 2012. Although they knew of each other, they weren’t very close because they didn’t work in the same area very often. After the summer ended, they didn’t keep in touch. as they lived in different states. A few years later, Shawn moved to Philadelphia in 2015. About two years later, Lindsey just so happened to move there too! Shawn noticed Lindsey moved to the same city, so he reached out to her on Facebook. They met up with each other and immediately felt a connection. And here they are today — happily married!
THEIR ENGAGEMENT STORY
For Shawn’s 30th birthday, Lindsey attempted to plan a party for him but he insisted that he did it himself. From then on, Lindsey admits she was suspicious. Shawn made them reservations at a restaurant but when they arrived, he decided he wanted to sit at the bar instead. Then he went to the restroom and didn’t come back. After a couple of minutes, Lindsey’s parents and sister surprised her and lead her to a private room, where Shawn proposed! Of course it was a yes! Meanwhile on the back, outside patio, a huge group of their friends cheered for them while they walked to their table. Lindsey said they had such a great night celebrating with their friends and family!
