From more formal tablescapes, dramatic cakes, lavish fabrics and lush floral arrangements, brides will be looking for every opportunity to dazzle on the big day.
For many a bride, this might mean the use of one very important element: glitter!
And the good (make that great!) news is that there are many ways you can add that sparkle factor to your own celebration. It might be in the most noticeable way possible: your dress! Lucky for you, many designers are incorporating dazzling glitter detail into veils, bodices and even gown skirts.
If you’d like to add glitter to your look, but are looking for something a little more subtle, consider the perfect glittery heels, manicure or eye make-up. (For the latter, however, make sure you’re prepared with a tissue to blot away free-standing flecks as well as extra make-up to touch-up your look.)
If you love the idea of glittery attire, but not quite for yourself, consider passing this trend on to your bridesmaids’ looks. After all, few things in this world are as stunning as a slammed up, glitzy bridal party. (This photo below is all the proof you need.)
Through all your love of glitter, it’s important to also keep in mind that some ‘maids might not pull off. Maybe they won’t feel comfortable in head-to-toe glitter. It is a very bold look, after all! For those situations, you might consider bridesmaids’ looks that have more subtle glittery touches — such as a glittery chiffon skirt, glittery flats or a dazzling glitter belt.
If you’re looking to make a definite impact with glitter, however, there are many ways you can incorporate it into your reception! These decadent examples below show off the endless options: glitter linens, glitter table numbers, glitter backdrops & everything in between!
Want a more subtle reception look? Consider ideas such as rimming your champagne glasses with edible glitter, using glitter in your chair decor, incorporating it into your cake. Don’t like those? Maybe try adding a little bit of sparkle to your menu and/or place cards.
One very important thing to kind in mind though? Unfortunately, there is such a thing as going overboard with glitter. So, just be mindful of how you incorporate it into your details. You’ll be able to include glitter in elegant and tasteful ways that will appeal to both you and your guests!
