The National Bridal Sale Event
The moment you have been waiting for is almost here, ladies – the National Bridal Sale Event!
Once a year hundreds of bridal dress boutiques across the United States and Canada participate in this national sale! It’s meant to give brides the opportunity to get their dream dress at a fraction of the price. This year, over 850 shops will be giving brides a huge discount starting on July 15th and running through the weekend. Don’t worry, some of your favorite local dress shops located in Northeast Ohio have decided to join this massive sale! Find your dream dress for so much less at Doreen Leaf Designs in Hartville, Galleria Gowns in Willoughby Hills, CLE Bride in Mentor, and Saroli’s Bridal Boutique in Akron.
What to expect
Chaos and Lines
Every bride wants to find her dream dress, especially if they can get it at a discounted price. This weekend will be hectic at every participating store because of this. “You won’t be getting your normal one-on-one service, but we are still there to help,” says Kathie from Doreen Leaf Designs. There are going to be a lot of brides and not enough consultants to help everyone individually. Try to be understanding about this and bring your handy-dandy bridesmaids to help you!
You should also expect lines everywhere. Lines to get in the door, lines to the fitting rooms, lines to check out, etc. Lines to get into CLE Bride will start forming a half hour before doors open. Expect to get there at 11:30am on Friday the 14th and 9:30am on Saturday the 15th.
Designer sales on dresses, accessories, and more!
Doreen Leaf Designs, Hartville, Ohio
This will be Doreen Leaf Designs’ second year participating in this national sale. “We will have every gown in the store on sale from 10% to 80% off,” says Kathie. Not only are all of their dresses on sale, but the accessories are as well! Come prepared to get everything you need from a stunning dress to the perfect earrings to match!
CLE Bride will start their sale on July 14th at noon and end on the 15th at 4pm. You will find designs from Mori Lee, Maggie Sottero, Stella York and more! “We will have gowns as low as $99!” says Marcy from CLE Bride. Be prepared to show up early if you don’t want to wait in a long line.
If you plan on checking out Galleria Gowns for the National Bridal Sale Event, they recommend making an appointment ASAP! “There are over 100 stock dresses on sale from designers like Allure Bridal, Sophia Tolli, Madison James, Casablanca Bridal, Maggie Sottero, and more,” says Clara from Galleria Gowns. You will be able to find dresses anywhere from 30% to 75% off.
Saroli’s Bridal Boutique, Akron, Ohio
Saroli’s Bridal Boutique has decided that a weekend long sale just wasn’t enough, so they are having a Sophia Tolli by Mon Cheri trunk show from July 14th until July 23rd! “There will be a 10% savings off all Sophia Tolli gowns during that time,” says Sarah, the co-owner. “We also have savings of 30% and 50% off select gowns in our store.” If you are still searching for a headpiece or veil, don’t worry because those will also be on sale for 25% off!
who and what to bring
The last thing you want is to find a dress you think you love, but can’t quite tell because your black bra sticking out is too distracting. Kathie from Doreen Leaf Designs recommends bringing shoes similar in height to your wedding shoes and a strapless bra. You can never be too prepared!
Although you will probably need your friends and family to help you pick out the perfect dress, don’t bring your entire entourage. One or two people should be plenty because the store will most likely be packed, and having too many people with you will get overwhelming.
Most importantly, bring your patience. These sales are known for being a bit chaotic, so if you go into it knowing you will have to wait a little longer than usual for a dressing room and you may not get the one-on-one time with a consultant that you wanted, you will be much less stressed.
