Sarah & Jon’s Real Wedding
Sarah & Jon’s Vibrant Wedding | Cleveland, OH
Sarah and Jon’s wedding unfolded in Cleveland, Ohio, with an intimate ceremony held at Sarah’s childhood home in Chagrin Falls. Vibrant pops of color adorned the venue as they celebrated their reception, dancing the night away surrounded by loved ones. Their love story is truly unique and special.
HOW THEY MET | “We met in Cleveland on Bumble and had our first date at Bomba Tacos in Rocky River, OH.”
THEIR ENGAGEMENT STORY | “Sarah had expressed her desire to be with her family when I proposed. At the time, her parents and one brother were in Cleveland, while her other brother resided in Chicago, creating logistical challenges. Wanting to catch her by surprise, I devised a plan around a business competition at Northwestern, coinciding with Thanksgiving and Christmas gatherings. Despite COVID, I suggested traveling to Chicago to support friends participating in the competition, which Sarah eagerly embraced. Little did she know, her Chicago brother and I were orchestrating the proposal behind the scenes. We arranged to meet Sunday morning after the competition for coffee, providing the perfect opportunity for the surprise engagement. Sarah’s brother discreetly captured the moment, and we flew back to Cleveland for a surprise party with both our families and friends.”

ADVICE FROM THE BRIDE | “During the cocktail hour, we mingled with everyone for 30 min but then we snuck away for 30 min to have a private dinner which was incredible. We had been on the go since 8am, ceremony at 1pm, pictures and party bus all afternoon. It was an amazing moment to pause in silence together, reflect about the day, soak in the moment, and enjoy our food. Ursula brought us champagne, our meal, and appetizers. It was nice to reflect on the day up to that point and feel refreshed as we kicked off the reception. Because of that, it didn’t seem like the day flew by. We really felt present and that we could soak it in. Also, no one at the wedding even knew we were gone. During dinner for everyone else, we were able to bounce around and say hello and listen and laugh to amazing speeches without trying to feel rushed to grab a bite of food. If you can make something like this work, you won’t regret it!”
