Or if you are looking for an indoor location enjoy the vintage charm of the Meetinghouse, a quintessential “little white chapel”. Reception facilities include rustic barns, an open-sided pavilion, a climate-controlled modern Visitor’s Center and plenty of beautiful farmland to the tent for larger parties.

In 1810 Jonathan Hale purchased 500 acres in the Cuyahoga Valley. This portion of the country was referred to as the Western Reserve. Over the course of the next 150 years, three generations of Hale’s lived on and worked the land. In 1956 Clara Belle Ritchie, great-granddaughter of Jonathan Hale bequeathed the family’s farm to the Western Reserve Historical Society. Since this time, Hale Farm has developed into Ohio’s premier living history museum.
