Hi! I’m Valerie Hazlett, a Northeast Ohio wedding officiant, proud Medina County local, coffee enthusiast, unapologetic dog lover and firm believer that wedding ceremonies should be anything BUT boring!

Let’s face it, you’ve spent months (maybe years!) dreaming about your wedding day. You’ve thought about the dress, the flowers, the venue, the music, and probably even the cake. But have you thought about the words that will bring it all together?  That’s where I come in!

My love of writing started with my grandmother, who had a beautiful gift for creating poetry for life’s special moments. She taught me that the right words can make people laugh, cry, and feel something they’ll remember forever. That’s the little magic I enjoy bringing to every ceremony.

I’m not here to give you a ceremony that sounds like everyone else’s. I’m here to tell YOUR story — filled with the little quirks, inside jokes, favorite memories, and all the reasons you fell in love.

And here’s what I believe: Your guests may forget the color of the napkins, what song played during dinner, or what flavor the cake was (okay, maybe not the cake!), but they’ll walk away talking about the laughter, the sweet surprises, and all the little moments that made your ceremony special.

So let’s give them something to talk about!
