at Greater Cleveland Aquarium takes your day from special to truly one-of-a-kind.
Located on the the ground floor of the historic Powerhouse on Flats West Bank, Greater Cleveland Aquarium features distressed brick walls, exposed ductwork, reimagined coal chutes and chimneys as well as immersive habitat theming, two touchpools, a 230,000 gallon shark tank and 175-foot seatube. More than 1,400+ animals representing 250 fresh and saltwater species make their homes in the Aquarium’s seven galleries.
The Aquarium provides a unique venue for wedding ceremonies and cocktail receptions
as well as engagement and wedding day photography.

Wedding Ceremony Venue
The Aquarium can accommodate up to 50 guests for wedding ceremonies in the Shark Gallery. Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate sit-down dinner receptions in the Aquarium galleries; however, we can host up to 60 guests in our event rental space. Please contact us for options, availability and pricing.
Cocktail Hours
The Aquarium can accommodate up to 300 guests for cocktail receptions with passed and/or displayed hors de oeuvres, a champagne station, and your choice of of a full or limited bar service. These are coordinated through our upstairs neighbor, Windows On The River, whose patios and Bridge View, River View and City View rooms can play host to as many as 450 guests.
Photography Location
The Aquarium is please to extend its galleries for photography use for engagement and wedding day sessions. Please contact us for availability and pricing.
