Video Booths Capture Your Reception in Slow Motion
Wedding reception photography has come a long way in the last decade — which is no surprise given the advances in technology. A photo booth can snap still pictures of your guests, who may choose silly or serious poses, use props or stand out against a staged background. They will have fun getting their picture taken, and they will leave with a reception keepsake – such as a strip of photos – that they can post on the refrigerator door or slide into a scrapbook.
Video booths, fast gaining popularity, capture movement and expand the creative possibilities, and the joy quotient, of the reception exponentially. They are thrilling! Photographers/DJs/photo booth companies set up a small well-lit corner of the reception area with a backdrop and then make use of music, props, camera angles, color and, usually, lots of confetti and glitter. All of which is played back in slow motion. Nick Borelli, Marketing & Communications Director at Rock The House Entertainment, shared that the booth films seven seconds of a close-up action and then slows it down by four times. Check out the astonishing end-results of this trend on YouTube, and you will want to find out more.
But, of course, thanks (again) to technology you can easily upload the final product and post it for the world to see on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter. In fact, Borelli explained, “With custom hashtags, all guests can share images and well-wishes for everyone to see.” Get the picture?
