Winners from the 2015 January Show – Akron
Our January bridal shows consisted of a whole lot of pretty, a dash (or two or three) of sparkle and a lengthy list of winners. Whether it was a stunning table in the Reception Table gallery or a bride post that we loved on social media, there were a number of brides and businesses who took home top prizes during our two show weekends.
Here are the lucky ladies and gents who topped our winners’ list:
January 2015 – John S. Knight Center in Akron
The cake gallery at our JSK Center show was the place to be if yummy confectionery goodness was your thing. (And why wouldn’t it be?!) Once the incredible linens from Sitting Pretty Linens were added, the gallery was a dream come true. (Oh, you don’t dream about fondant cakes and sparkly linens? Maybe that’s just us then!)
There were a number of incredible cakes lining the gallery, but only three companies could be named our winners.
Taking home the #1 brides’ choice spot was this lovely creation from Acme Fresh Market. One part pastel, one part chalkboard and all parts gorgeous, this cake answered every romantic bride’s prayer — and ultimately, scored their votes as well. (And did you notice the little touch of whimsy with the mustache & bow tie toppers?! We actually missed that on first glance, but loved the cake even more after it did catch our attention.)
Our #2 brides’ choice from Custom Cake Creations was just as dazzling. This sleek & sophisticated dessert won over the hearts of many-a-bride — and for great reason! Muted color palettes always score big with brides; once you add in the other subtle touches, such as the romantic cake topper, the strands of rhinestones and the elegant silver hand-painting, this cake truly becomes unstoppable.
Another sleek design that showed up in the gallery was this black & white affair from Reeves Cake Shop. Dazzling rhinestone strands paired with elegant black flowers to elevate a classic white cake; a romantic cake topper was used to put on the finishing touches to this classic beauty. Ultimately, Reeves’ attention to detail paid off when this cake took home the #3 brides’ choice title.

Equally as gorgeous as the Cake Gallery was its’ neighbor, the Reception Table Gallery. Nearly 20 companies took part in this elegant extravaganza, but only three took top honors for their table designs. (Although, truly, they were all incredible!)
Coming in on top was this chic vintage pink + rose gold design from reInspired Bride! We saw many girls admiring this table from near and afar, so we can’t say we were too shocked to find this one as the #1 brides’ choice when we tallied up the votes. After all: What could be more romantic than a classic gold color palette, a touch of pink, glittery handmade details & baby’s breath galore?!

Another table that saw many spectators at the show was this rustic gem from Red Run Bison Farm. Mint mason jars, burlap linens & a full pergola display all chipped in to create this charming display. The team at Red Run brilliantly coordinated this with their booth design, so there were no questions as to who the #2 brides’ choice belonged to.

Rounding out our winner’s circle was this dreamy tablescape from Perfect Petal Designs. While Nikki’s romantic floral displays stole the show, draped crystals + decadent linens helped play supporting roles. All in all, this was one winning production from Perfect Petals & it helped earn them the #3 brides’ choice prize.

When it comes to winners, businesses weren’t the only ones taking home bragging rights!
One very lucky bride won a 4-day, 3-night all-expenses paid (yes, airfare included! vacation to the oh-so-gorgeous (and oh-so-warm!) Mexico. This giveaway came courtesy of Unlimitedtrips.com, and the bride who claimed it was Shannon S. of Poland.
All in all, it was a great show weekend — we had a lot of fun & judging from all the social media posts, we’re guessing you did, too! Thanks so much for attending & congratulations to our winners!
