You don’t want to accidentally step on your gown and trip as you ascend or descend the stairs at your venue, and you know what they say– practice makes perfect.

Not every foot is made for heels, and for those brides who are taller, flats may work better with your gown so you don’t have to add extra material. There are lots of great options when it comes to choosing a flat– you can wear sandals for a beach or summer wedding, pack away a pair of fold-able flats in your clutch to change into at the reception, have a peep-toe, or opt for ballerina flats. The best part about wearing flats to your wedding is that you can dance all night long and never worry about what that sticky substance is on the bottom of your foot.

Like we said before, no one is going to see your shoes, so choosing a comfortable pair of shoes that you already own is a great way to save money! With this option, you can even incorporate a pair of blue socks for something blue! Just be sure the soles of your shoes are clean, so if you do accidentally step on your gown, you won’t have to worry about leaving a mark.
