Spring Color Schemes We Love
Spring has finally sprung, and with it comes the beginning of wedding season! Spring is one of the best seasons to get married because it represents new beginnings and starting over. Not to mention, the temperature in Ohio is just right; not too hot or too cold! With the arrival of the sun and blooming flowers also comes a more bright and playful color palette.
All of these color combinations just scream Spring! They remind us of warm walks in the park and strolling through a garden. From bright and playful to muted and pastel, we’ve chosen our top 4 favorite palettes. We recommend choosing one as your dominant color and then peppering in hints of the other here and there to break things up and add diversity and depth.
Coral & Yellow
Living Coral is Pantone’s 2019 color of the year. Therefore, it’s bound to be super popular in weddings, too. Because it’s such a bold color choice, you can let it stand alone and add accents of greenery and white. However, we love the fun combination of yellow and coral! It’s vibrant and playful, yet not too over-the-top. Because these colors are such show-stoppers, keep the other decor aspects of your wedding muted and understated to let the palette shine.
Turquoise & Peach
The sky is blue, your wedding should be, too! Light blue, dusty blue, teal, turquoise, Tiffany blue…no matter what you call it, this shade is in! Pairing it with a color on the other end of the spectrum allows you to choose almost any shade as accents! While turquoise is bright and rich in color, peach is light and almost pastel. They compliment each other beautifully, lending a youthful and sunny feel to your wedding. Plus, it can count as your “Something Blue!”
Blush & Sage
For the past few years, blush has been the most popular color at weddings. It’s romantic and dreamy. To give it a Spring-y feel, add a touch of sage green or mint! Or differentiate yourself from other weddings this season by having sage as the main color with accents of blush or peach. These two colors are perfect for a pastel wedding and will make your venue seem light and bright. A nice way to break up the dreary gray of winter!
Lavender & Eggplant
Though these two are two shades of the same color palette, we can’t deny how nicely they pair with each other. No matter the season or year, purple is a majestic and formal color, perfect for any wedding. You’ll look back on your photos 25 years from now and still think how timeless and classic your palette looks. Sprinkle in pops of blue, gray, pink, yellow, or green to add some variety – this palette works well with almost any other color!
