PERSONALITY Always unbutton your jacket before you sit down. For more information on men's attire visit TodaysBride.com/Groom. POP A POP Men often get forgotten or overlooked when it comes to fashion, especially when stand- ing next to a bride. You’re guaranteed to turn some heads with this one suggestion: add some color! As a fashion-forward, frequently complimented man, I like to think of myself as a style expert. I owe that success to color. Color is one easy way to make a statement with your suit or tux. While the result is bold and adventurous, it’s not obtrusive and won’t hinder your movement the way coat tails or a cummerbund do. The most common ways to incorporate a bit of color are with your socks, pocket square, or tie. If you’re feeling really bold, you can try a colored suit, wear a pastel button-down, or a print- ed tie! Remember: no matter the event or the look, the best accesso- ry to any outfit is con- fidence. OF COLOR J i m F r e r icks, Today’s Bride Match the width of your tie to the width of your lapel. Your tie should end just above your trousers. There should not be a gap be- tween your shirt collar and jacket collar. When you slip your hand be- tween your shirt and buttoned jacket, it should fit but be snug. The hem of your jacket should cover your pants’ zipper. With a double-button jacket, the top button should fall at or just above your navel. The top button of a dou- ble-buttonjacketshould never be clasped. If you’re wearing a vest, don’t but- ton the bottom button. Your shirt cuffs should surpass your jacket sleeves by about half an inch. Your socks should be long enough to cover your ankles and legs when you sit down. FIT TIPS ✓ ✓ ✓ ✓ ✓ ✓ ✓ ✓ ✓ ✓ Your wedding day attire should reflect your personal style. Even if you don’t typically put a lot of thought into what you’re wear- ing, consider your favorite outfits. Is there a color you love to wear? Is there a specific flower you get for your fiancé on special occasions? Incorporate personal touches like these into your ensemble! Wear cuff links that have a quote from your favorite movie or a tie clip your grandpa passed down to you. Sport a bow-tie to show off your playful personality or Lebron James’ shoes to represent your love for the Cavs. Whether you opt for formal or casual attire, adding a touch of your personality will ensure you’re comfortable.
